TRAILHEAD LOCATION:

From Cedar City travel north on 1-15, 18 miles to Parowan. From Parowan take State Road #143 south, approximately 3 miles to First Left Hand, Road #049. Follow #049 approximately 3 miles to trailhead. Trailhead is at 7,600 feet.

DESCRIPTION:

This trail crosses Bowery Creek and starts to climb up drainage through a mixed conifer stand crossing back and forth across the bottom, eventually working its way up the west side of the drainage. The trail climbs quickly through scrub oak until it meets spring source and water troughs. The trail ends at spring source, but the hikers can easily walk to the top of Henderson Hill for scenic views from this open hilltop.
